A bit about me

I'm Nahom, a full-stack developer based in New York. Ethiopian born and raised in Madrid, I grew up speaking fluent Spanish.

Over the past 7+ years, I've built expertise across React, Next.js, Node, and Postgres — shipping web features, custom payment flows, and consumer AI products. I live mostly in the front end, but I'm comfortable across the whole stack, and what I really love is taking an idea all the way to something people actually use.

These days, I'm building features end to end at Rug & Kilim, including a particularly exciting one: a custom CRM built from the ground up.

On my own time, I ship my own things — a free IPTV platform that grew to thousands of users, a resume builder, and a civic tool that makes NYC legislation actually readable.

My philosophy isn't just whether something works — it's how it feels. I sweat the small details, lean on tools like Cursor and Claude Code to move fast, and try to leave every project a little more polished than I found it.
